Yup, I just passed that notorious milestone and am now over the hill. After several strong hints by me, the family suprised me with a very nice grill. Definately a plus because we have lot's of salmon and halibut to grill up. For those of you fishing fanatics that are tracking my blog (including the person from Germany who showed up in my logging stats), sorry I haven't had any new fishing trips for you to be jealous of. Being out of town for a few weeks, plus a slow start to the second run of reds, has led to a definate gap in my accounts of fishing Alaska.
To the person from Germany whose been reading this blog, have you ever fished at the Russian? During the first run, I always run into droves of folks from Germany and other nearby countries. Last year I talked shop with a guy from Austria. We swapped homemade flies for good chocolate. Mmmmm good. Anyway, if you have plans to come over, let me know.
Anyway, I have a grundle of fishing trips planned for the rest of the summer, especially targetting the lower Kenai for reds and Bird Creek for pinks and silvers. Stay tuned!!

And because I didn't call (lousy over-40 memory), welcome to the dark side. Bwahahahaha!

your elderly sister
